Six storey residential care home consisting in new building within an existing external vernacular façade and perimeter.
The complex irregular architectural layout, changing every floor poised an engineering challenge. The structural solution comprised in a complex system of transfer slabs and load bearing walls supported by a transfer slab which load was transferred to two central circular columns and foundations.
